Salival was a limited edition box set in CD/VHS and CD/DVD formats released in 2000 by Tool. It includes a 56-page book of photos and stills from their music videos. As the box set has now been out of print for some time, it can only be found secondhand, usually at a price disproportionate to its original recommended retail price.

The track "You Lied" is a cover of a song by bass player Justin Chancellor's previous band, Peach. The cover of Led Zeppelin's "No Quarter" was originally recorded for the soundtrack of Private Parts, but Tool subsequently decided against allowing it to be used, leading to criticism from Howard Stern, who had previously endorsed the band. Live versions of "Pushit" and "Third Eye" (of the album Ænima) appear on this box set. The song "Merkaba" was originally the instrumental intro for the song Sober when played live.

The booklet included with the package has a small glossy square on its front cover. There is speculation that the square represents an acid blotter. A simpler explanation would be that the square helps identify the front of the booklet from the back. Yet another explanation would refer to the title of the package, which was supposedly put out to satisfy fans of the band who were salivating over new material. Thus, the shiny square would represent a single drop of saliva.
